Technical Sales Representative
MicroAge is looking for an experienced, career-minded Technical Sales Representative.
We require a positive, team-oriented Technical Sales Representative to set and meet sales goals and to consistently deliver results in accordance with the high standards of the company’s defined goals.
Our Technical Sales Representative shall have extensive product and IT industry knowledge and experience, with responsibilities for the sales of corporate products or services through the achievement of opportunity-based sales quotas.
The Technical Sales Representative is tasked with advising clients on the most appropriate equipment for their specific needs, handling inquiries about equipment functions and benefits, pricing, available warranties and accurately completing order forms in a time efficient manner. The Technical Sales Representative will also develop sales leads, initiate prospect calls and establish an ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers resulting in future sales. Integrity, vision, and passion are essential for this role and other duties may be assigned as required.
Required Skill Set:
• Secondary School Diploma required. University or College degree preferred.
Experience in technical sales will be an asset.

reporting is required
• Own vehicle and have valid driver’s license
Job Duties:
• Direct account responsibility for key accounts
• Grow existing customer accounts and relationships
• Develop and build relationships with new accounts and develop additional contacts
within existing accounts and increase market share
• Participate in personal development training and technical training of the IT product lines
• Ensure the company maintains a high profile and professional image through active
participation in IT industry association and trade shows
• Participate in regular sales meetings
• Work to eliminate obstacles that hinder productivity and promote effective sales
operations. Active involvement in crisis management and operational productivity issues
i.e. out of stock, order fulfillment issues, pushing back orders, customer complaints,
emergency customer visits, etc.
• Communicate suggestions for improvement on a regular basis and participate in
implementation
• Recommend and assist in the development of new product lines and principal
relationships
• Provide or facilitate technical assistance to customers and other staff to ensure all sales
activity is fully supported
• Promote goodwill by supporting marketing initiative to create more awareness and
presence in the IT industry
• Keep up-to-date records on sales calls, customer contacts and details of meetings in a
timely manner
• Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor and attitude at all times
• Perform other duties as required
