Systems Administrator
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, be self-motivated and have their own vehicle and valid driver’s license. This individual will also have the ability to lift/move computers and other components as required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of system administration duties on IS database, application, and other servers.
- Proactive monitoring of all servers, applications and services using a combination of tools to ensure high availability.
- Perform regular and on-demand system backups and recoveries.
- Interface with vendors for procurement & maintenance of all IT infrastructures.
- Manage & troubleshoot networks, intranet & internet connectivity throughout the organization
- Create and maintain documentation for all processes and procedures.
- Lead, train and support the work of other staff engaged in similar functions
Required Technical Skill Set:
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree or diploma).
- Eperience in Systems Administration
- Experience with Hardware & networking
- Knowledge of installations, upgrades and troubleshooting of Windows XP, Server 2000/2003.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to research & solve complex issues independently.
- Ability to effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information
