Course Objective

The main objective of this courseware is to enhance your ability to create and use Access databases. You will advance your skills in designing queries, forms and reports, get an introduction to the creation of macros and Visual Basic program modules, and explore ways in which to make your databases work more efficiently. This courseware is designed for the student who is already able to create and use simple Access databases and wishes to learn to develop a fully functional database management system. On successful completion of this courseware, you will be able to:

  • use advanced field properties
  • work with multiple tables
  • create and use Action Queries and other specialized queries
  • add bound and unbound controls to forms and reports
  • create and use subforms and subreports
  • create command buttons and define control events
  • create a switchboard
